We finally made it to see Santa. Carson introduced Maggie, he told Santa she was 1. She wasn't sure at first, but after a short stint in the lap, she decided he wasn't that bad after all. The actual Bass Pro photo is funny, she is looking up at him and he is looking downat her. After the photo session it was Carson's turn to let Santa know what he wanted, then a few words from Santa, and the wait is on to see what he gets. I always say, this is the best Santa ever, if you are ever near the Katy Mills Bass Pro during Christmas, you should stop by!

Maggie Turns 1!!
Our little girl turned 1 on the 15th…can you believe it? This past year flew by, and we kept shaking our heads that her birthday was already here! She celebrated in style with her own cake complete with a big pink flower on top! She only hesitated for a moment, and then she DOVE in! At times she was shoveling it in two-fisted. She even liked trying to feed us too. I think it made her a little "sugar crazy" because she was making hilarious faces and "talking" a lot toward the end. We all had a fun time celebrating her first year! Happy Birthday Mags!

Letter to Santa
Carson sent his letter off to Santa the other night. We went to Macy's and put it in their Santa Mailbox. We also shopped a little, and Carson and Fiona broke into song while listening to a music box play "We Wish You A Merry Christmas." Enjoy!

Spaghetti Face
Our almost one-year-old doesn't have a single tooth - not a one - but that doesn't stop her from gumming all kinds of table foods. She loves spaghetti, and she tries to shovel it in by the handful. It makes quite a mess, but she enjoys it, so the cleanup doesn't bother me too much. :) And we can't leave Carson out of the photo session. So here he is. Showing that at almost 6, he can make a mess with the best of them.
Tree Trimming
We decorated the tree last weekend, and Carson was in heaven. He loves getting ready for any holiday, and really gets into decorating the house! He helped put the less fragile ornaments on the tree, and told us over and over how beautiful the tree is. Maggie posed for a few photos, but she napped during most of the decorating.
Turkey Trot 2011

We made our triumphant return to the Turkey Trot last week! After taking last year off, we all got up bright and early to head out to do the 5K Thanksgiving morning. The Morgans joined us this year, and we had a great time! We all started off walking, and then Carson and Liam took off running…forcing Julie to follow. The rest of us ate their dust and hung back until Michael decided to try and catch up. We all met up at the finish line and found out that Julie and the boys ran the whole thing -- or as Julie described it, the boys ran - sometimes hopped over orange cones, and sometimes in circles when the crowds got too thick - but they did run the whole race! Carson attempted to run off some energy (not possible), and it turns out that Liam is a running phenom! Michael said that he was quite the gazelle, and he wasn't even winded at the end. Maggie was a trooper until the last 1/2 mile or so, and then she "requested" that she be carried for the remainder. After the race we took a spin by the Water Wall on our way back to the car. AND, here it is -- sad but true - the FIRST official Padilla family photo that includes Maggie. Yes, this is the first time we have ALL appeared in a photo together. We'll try for a better one soon. We love this Thanksgiving tradition! Next year, we are all running!!!
