Santa!

We went and found Santa at the Bass Pro Shop, and Carson agreed (finally!) to meet the jolly old man. After an introduction from dad, Carson sat on his lap and told him what he wanted...which included 'all the star wars guys,' and GeoTrax. Then, we stepped over to the play area and Carson took aim with a Red Rider BB Gun...he's a lot like his dad when it comes to guns, and he was in heaven.

'Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells...'

We had a fun (and busy) week getting ready for the holidays. Carson made cookies with Miss Corinne, and they had fun making a huge cookie dough mess. Then, we decorated the cookies with some of our MOMS Club friends...and we are still finding sprinkles around the kitchen :). Then Carson put on his Santa suit and we went to sing ('jingle bells') for a local retirement home. He had a great time running around and visiting with everyone. Stay tuned for Carson's visit with Santa himself.

Christmas Countdown

Grandma Karen sent Carson an advent calendar and he's really been enjoying it. Every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times, he'll tell me "we forgot to do the advent calendar." It's the kind with little chocolates inside, so that's why he wants to open more than one each day :). Michael and Carson also made an advent chain (patterned after the one's we used to make.) The red and green rings are regular days, yellow is when we get on a plane and fly to CA, and blue is Christmas! Carson loves it when you ask "what does the yellow one mean?" He gets a big smile, laughs, and talks about getting on the plane to go see everyone! He's more excited about that day than Christmas :).

Holiday Fun

We went on a hay-ride through Pecan Grove the other night to look at Christmas lights. The Millers and Dowtys were with us and we all had a great time :). Carson, as always, was the rowdy one. He wanted to stand up tall and feel the breeze in his hair. Luckily, dad held on tight. Carson loves all the blow-ups again this year, and we have a neighbor with tons of them. During the day Carson always asks why the lights and blow-ups aren't on...he thinks they should be on 24-7. Grandma Connie bought us this cool bundt pan, and we finally used it to make a gingerbread house. Carson loved eating everything (especially the icing) just as much as loved putting it on the house.
