Maggie and Carli's Baptism

On December 27th, 2011 Maggie and her cousin Carli were baptized.  It was a very special day.  Our families and close friends (thank you Robyn, Mike, Brennan, Rachel, Joe and Megan) joined us at St. Ignatius in Sacramento. Maggie's godparents are her Aunt Julie and her cousin Zach.  Grandma Connie made her beautiful baptism gown and bonnet.  We plan on taking her to have some professional pics taken in her dress so you can see how pretty it really is.  Thank you Grandma Connie.  The dress turned out beautiful and Maggie will have it forever :). A special thank you also to Mike Huetter for taking all the great pics during the baptism.  We are so happy to have such great photos to remember the day.  Maggie did great during the entire baptism and through most of the photos.  You can see her lose it right when it was time to take pictures with Grandma Karen and Grandma Connie :).  Then she decided that she was ready to walk around…which was a relatively new skill for her.  I think my favorite picture from the day is the last one of two girls.  Carli looks so cute, and even though Maggie isn't smiling, it's still a pretty sweet picture of the two of them.  I think it will find a frame in our house :).

Christmas in Sacramento

We had a great time spending time with the Padilla's over Christmas.  Carson and Maggie got to spend some quality time with Grandma Karen and Grandpa Jim, Aunt Kami and Uncle Tony, and Zach, Abby and Carli.  We got to see Abby play basketball a couple times and she was awesome.  You can tell in the pics that she is a great athlete.  Grandpa Jim made Maggie a birthday cake and everyone sang to her, although she wasn't much of a good sport about it since she was pretty tired. The kids played tons of Twister, Connect Four Launchers, and Crazy Eights. Carson and Maggie were spoiled rotten with gifts, and Carson got pretty excited opening Bey Blades and Legos and lots of other cool stuff.  Maggie just sat in the pile of wrapping paper.  Tony and Kami made a huge prime rib which was great, as usual.  We went to hibachi with the whole family since it's one the kid's favorite places to go.  We even tried to reenact an old picture that Carli and Carson took back in 2008.  They both have gotten so big!

Christmas 2011

Carson and Ricky sprinkled reindeer dust in Grandma Connie's yard on Christmas Eve.  The boys were up bright and early ready to see what Santa brought.  All three kids brought in a haul.  Maggie got dressed up in her pretty Christmas dress and she wore it for awhile, but she's not much a of a dress girl right now :).  We tried to take some family pictures, but our camera didn't come up with a really good one with all of us.  Not too bad though.  And we can't forget, that Christmas is also cousin Kristin's birthday too!  Parker, Carson, and Cooper helped her blow out her candles.  The day was such a whirlwind that we didn't get as many pics as I would have liked.  Hopefully Aunt Julie got some more :).
