Maggie Is 6 Months Old

Maggie is 6 months old today.  Time flies!  She's so much a part of our lives that it's hard to imagine our family without her.  She started trying some solid foods this past month and we're taking it very slowly.  Her big brother adores her, and he can make her smile just by walking in the room.  He can really make her giggle and she has the funniest squeal when he really gets her going.  She also LOVES her daddy! When he gets home from work she greets him with a big grin every day.  It's really cute.

She still has quite a bit of the dark hair she was born with, but it's slowly falling out and blonde hair is growing underneath.  I keep telling people that she probably wont get the beautiful curls that her big brother had.  Figures, right?  We'll see. We've also got a "thumb sucker" on our hands.  Carson was a BIG pacifier kid, but Maggie wanted nothing to do with them...believe me, we tried and we tried hard!  She's figured out a much better alternative and seems quite happy with it.  She's changing so much so fast that I don't even have pictures to show her latest maneuver...attempting to sit up on her own...it's a work in progress.  We'll work on getting that on film or maybe even video.

Maggie's First Swim

On Mother's Day we spent some time at the Millers, and Michael took Maggie for her "maiden voyage."  It was warm outside and the pool wasn't THAT cold, but I think she would disagree.  She stayed calm for a bit, but once Michael took her for a dip she was DONE!!  Now that the weather is HOT and most swimming pools are very warm, we'll try again.  Carson on the other hand jumped right in, played and swam and had a ball!

Flat Stanley Strikes Again!

Doing some catching up here...we've had 3 visits from Flat Stanley over the past few years - two in the last six months.  Here are the photos from his last visit.  We dragged him all over for a few days and actually got the chance to take good photos this time around.  Carson made his own version of Flat Stanley and keeps asking if we can mail him off...which I'm sure we'll do very soon.  So look out CA, he's coming your way soon. :)
