Hello Again!

We've been busy, but clearly not busy blogging...Here are some highlights from Carson's summer.  We went camping in Oregon and California with grandma's, cousins, aunts and uncles, and Carson's god parents.  We took a trip to Six Flags, and Carson and Dad rode lots of coasters and water rides.  He was just tall enough to ride some of the big ones, and with no fear-reference to hold him back he was game to try just about anything - even the upside down Shock Wave!  We did have a pretty low key summer other than those few trips, but we did spend some time hanging out with friends swimming and playing!  In September, Carson started his last year of Pre-K, and we began getting ready for the new addition to the family -- a baby sister due just before Christmas!  That's right, Carson is going to be a big brother! Of course you all knew that already :)!  Carson got a new bedroom, complete with a new paint job, and Dad has been working hard getting the new baby's room together (No, we don't have a name picked out yet.)  We'll post more pics soon, but this should get us back on track, sort of :).

Carson's 4!

On Carson's actual birthday, we took a trip to Chuck E. Cheese with his best bud Corinne.  They had a ball running around playing games, and mom showed her gambling side --  winning some tickets so they could pick some prizes to take home!  We also had an Egypt themed party at home and all of Carson's friends came over to celebrate.  Grandma Connie and mom (grandma did the hard part) made a pyramid cake, we made some crafts, and Carson got lots of nice gifts from his friends; including the book that started the whole Egypt obsession...Ten Little Mummies (which we no longer have to check out from the library.)  Thank you to everyone for making it such a special day for Carson!

Exploring Caves

We had a great time exploring the caves near San Antonio just before Carson's birthday.  He thought it was quite an "adventure," climbing down and down into the caves and seeing all the neat formations.  Afterwards we had a picnic lunch and found fossils and other treasures in the sluice box.  Fun day!

Deer Hunting

We went to Terry's deer lease the weekend after Christmas,
trying to shoot the elusive first deer with a bow!  Success by the way!
Carson, Terry and I in front of the deer lease house, Carson in the "woods",
it snowed the last day we were there, was very cool with everything white,
almost reminded me of Oregon, without the mountains!
Snowman, snowball fight, snow angels and of course the snowman had Mt. Dew
bottle cap eyes and nose!  The deer was not mine, Carson was not around
when we carved mine up, but the blood and other items did
not seem to bother him, this I was pleased with!

Very Presidential

While grandma and grandpa were visiting we went to two presidential libraries.  They were very interesting!  Carson was a good boy at both libraries and he had a lot of fun.

Dad's Birthday

We celebrated Daddy's birthday last week and Carson loved baking dad his birthday cookies (not cake as requested) and playing with Dad's new Wii game.

Santa

We went to see Santa at The Bass Pro Shop once again this year!  He's a great Santa and Carson had his list ready for the big guy.  We even got Carson to grin a bit while looking at the camera at the SAME time!  It's a Christmas miracle! :)
