Bowling

Carson tried bowling for the first time last week with his friend Tyler. He liked his funny "rent a foot disease" shoes and would have been thrilled if I had let him goof off on the slippery lanes the whole time. It was a challenge keeping him out of the way when it wasn't his turn, but he figured it out and I think it was a good lesson for him. What 3-year-old loves to take turns and isn't in everyone's way? He bowled a 92...with a little bumper/ramp assistance of course. It was a very fun outing, although at his age, one game is more than enough :).

Take Me Out To The Ball Game...

We enjoyed an entire weekend of baseball thanks to a Sacramento connection that knows Washington Nationals first baseman Nick Johnson. We went to Saturday's game, and then the Miller Family joined us on Sunday for another. What fun! We cheered for the Astros, and for Mr. Nick, and had a blast! Cotton candy, Cracker Jacks, popcorn, helmet sundaes, nachos....we had it all! Carson played in the monster play area, and even got a chance to run the bases after Sunday's game. Thanks so much to Scott L. and of course "Mr. Nick." It was such a treat for all of us.

Even Batman Needs a Nap

Our little super hero fell asleep in full costume not too long ago. Couldn't resist taking a picture.

July 4th

We enjoyed a great afternoon and evening at a block party. Carson played in a bounce house, ate lots of candy, rode scooters, and enjoyed sparklers and a fun fireworks display. It was a very fun day.

Carson Swims...Sort Of

Carson turned the corner in the pool! He told me to let
him go in the middle of the pool, so I did.
He made it to the steps, then got out and
started jumping in and swimming (sort of)
toward the steps. Then of course he
was talked into jumping off Dad's shoulders!!

Fun Day at the Splash Pad

Carson had a blast at this fun Splash Pad -- courtesy of Miss Corinne and her Uncle Scott ;). It had it all; spouts, a pool, slides and more. It was pretty fun! Thank you again Millers/Manbys :).

The 'Gadget Sorter'

Carson and mom made the Home Depot Kids Project this month...it was a Father's Day project, so dad said it was mom's turn to take the lead. No problem! ;) We made it through, and our little 'gadget man' said that the hardware sorter was for all his gadgets, and that's why it is now and forevermore called the 'gadget sorter.' Sorry dad, you'll get something else.
