On Carson's actual birthday we went to his favorite restaurant for dinner and a VOLCANOOOO! He made us all nervous as he tried unsuccesfully to blow out the sparkler. Afterwards, he took a ride on the carousel with grandma in the "open sleigh"...he does not like to ride the horses, just the benches. We haven't figured out why yet. Notice the new Transformers shirt from Buddy Brennan. It talks when you push a button, and Carson loves it!

Carson celebrated his 3rd birthday with his good friends and family this past weekend. He chose the Transformers theme, complete with
We took Carson to a Pirates and Princesses party at a local restaurant the other night. Mom & Dad threw together a silly costume at the last minute, and Carson was thrilled to become a

We celebrated Michael's birthday at the beginning of January, and Carson had a blast singing to his dad. We are fortunate here in Texas to have some beautiful winter weather, and we take advantage of it with park and zoo visits. And of course, Carson and Mom spent 1/20 watching the inauguration festivities and soaking up the promise of change to come...however, Carson seems to have latched on to the predominantly 'red' tendencies of this state, and if you ask him who he voted for, he'll tell you John McCain...much to his mother's chagrin :/. Big sigh! I know all of my Republican (I love you in spite of this major, I mean minor flaw) friends will take great joy in that fun fact. :)

We had a great trip to CA for the holidays...which I realize were a LONG time ago, but I couldn't not blog them. Anyway, lots of fun with family and friends. Carson loves being with his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many CA buddies. He's in heaven when we are there. Now, we'll move forward and blog January...which is now over as well (big sigh.) I'll get back on track, don't worry. :)
